About
Rally Point Foundation proposes the Rally Point Peer Support Leadership Academy, a community-based, recovery-oriented initiative designed to strengthen peer leadership, expand the peer support workforce, and increase access to non-clinical recovery supports for individuals living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), including veterans and other adults experiencing social isolation, mental health challenges, and barriers to community participation. The Academy will establish a structured career pathway that empowers individuals with lived experience of SMI to progress from volunteer peer leadership roles into formal peer support workforce positions. The project is designed to increase consumer engagement, strengthen recovery capital, promote community integration, develop consumer leadership, and create a sustainable pipeline of trained peer support professionals serving Middle Georgia and, ultimately, communities throughout Georgia. The Rally Point Peer Support Leadership Academy recognizes lived experience as a valuable source of knowledge, leadership, and recovery expertise. Participants will receive leadership development, peer support training, mentorship, advocacy education, and opportunities to contribute to community-based recovery initiatives while advancing along a clearly defined professional development pathway.
